A Small Church
In a Small Town

Baden is a small town, just west of Kitchener/Waterloo. It was founded in 1855 and is home to around 6,000 people. It is the second largest community in the township of Wilmot, second only to the neighbouring town of New Hamburg.

Our Story:

Why Plant a Church in Baden?

The idea to plant a new church in Baden was born as God began to work in two different areas.  He had begun to bless Fellowship Bible Church with incredible growth, and gave them a desire to use their blessings to increase their reach in their community.  At the same time, he put a passion for church planting in the hearts of Nathan and Elaine Kapteyn.  Over time it became clear that he was calling both FBC and Nathan and Elaine to plant a new church in Baden.

Baden is a town that is easily overlooked due to how close it is to other larger communities, but it is a community full of people who need to hear the Gospel. The size of the community is also expected to double within the next ten years, meaning the need in Baden will only continue to grow.  Our prayer is that God will use us to have a deep impact on our town through the Gospel.
